I have just placed my new antenna in the building up here in the Norwegian mountains and connected it to my Merlin card. It is terrific! Download speed in UMTS is 327 Kbps and upload is 116 Kbps. That's very good, the signal indicator shows 2 out of 5 bars were earlier I had zero.  In GPRS mode the signal jumped up to 4/5. Thank you for advice and the deal!  Best regards.

We bought a panel mount with a 3G whip and the various bits a while ago. You'll be pleased to know that the system is working absolutely brilliantly!  So well that I'm getting a lot of enquiries as to how we did it! Just wanted to say thank you.  My kit arrived as promised this morning, and after weeks of frustration with my Vodafone Connect Card, I finally managed to get a signal and get it to work!

The FCT and antenna work extremely well with signal level always ensuring that green light stays on permanently, it is a vast improvement on the standard aerial, which is normally fitted to the unit. I can now hide the unit away without having to worry about locating it where the normal set-fixed aerial gets a signal - not easy in a narrow boat!
